It’s time to jumpstart your health, so why not get started? Does it seem overwhelming with all of the things you may need to do? Start simple and create a routine that will work and write it out so you can be successful.
Some things to consider are: getting good quality sleep, having a routine in place for regular movement, managing stress on a daily basis, eating healthy foods, and drinking water. Since food can affect our sleep, how motivated we are, our emotions, the way we react to situations, food cravings, and more, I suggest to start with making healthy food choices and go from there.
To improve food choices, start with the basics and make a list of healthy substitutions for those foods that you consume that are not nutrient dense. Analyze this list and decide if you want to start with just one food or a variety. Move forward with getting those substitutions readily available so they are convenient to grab when needed. Then, get rid of the junk.
It takes 21-28 days to create a new habit. So stick with it for at least one month. Then re-assess the other areas and take the next step.
Next week’s WellnesSeries class on detoxification to improve sleep, energy, weight loss and more will highlight healthy food choices as well. If you need some assistance in figuring out good substitutions for foods or are unsure of which foods are unhealthy that you may be consuming, consider coming to the class or feel free to reach out to me. I would be happy to give you individualized nutritional recommendations based on your health history.
